"Dismal Universal Hiss" 12 minutes 1988 16mm 

Originally a double screen film the titles comes from a book by W.Grey Walter: "The Living Brain", the book is mostly about flicker and stroboscopic response. In 1988 Chicago Reader's Jonathan Rosenbaum listed this film as Critic's choice.

"Optical Surgery" 9 minutes 1987 16mm  

A medical intervention on the viewer by means of cinema, Television test patterns, children playing chess, robotic experiments, an exploding house, steaming test tubes and other found footage create a frenzied collection manipulated by optical printer. ED

"4xHorizontal, 4xVertical"  10 minutes 1986 16mm 

At the end of an anonymous room, Francois Miron piles boxes against a wall film screen. The image projected on it quickly rush together: automobile accidents, Tuscan landscapes, an injured man, medical experiments intercut with smoking factories, a sleeping face. Miron moves the boxes about constantly, as if feeding a burning fire. ED
